Silent Echo - Silent Disco Hire
Terms & Conditions of Dry Hire
By confirming a booking with Silent Echo (referred to as "The Company"), the Hirer (referred to as "The Customer") agrees to the following terms and conditions for the dry hire of silent disco equipment.
1. General Conditions of Hire
-
Dry Hire Service: The contract is for the dry hire of silent disco equipment, which includes LED headphones (up to 50 available) and 3-channel transmitters. This means the equipment is rented without an operator.
-
Term of Hire: The standard hire period is from Friday to Monday, but other days are available upon request. The hire charges apply for the full agreed-upon duration.
-
Booking Confirmation: A booking is only confirmed once The Company has received the agreed-upon deposit (details of which will be provided upon booking). Until then, the booking remains an enquiry.
-
Set-up and Use: The Company will drop off the gear and talk customers through the initial set-up to ensure a smooth start and provide "set-up confidence". The Customer is responsible for operating the equipment safely and correctly during the hire period.
2. Payment, Deposit, and Cancellation
-
Pricing: Packages start at a minimum of 10 headphones, with add-on options available for more headphones. Full pricing and package structures will be finalised and provided upon booking.
-
Deposit: The booking may require a refundable security/damage deposit, the amount of which will be confirmed at the time of booking.
-
Cancellation Policy: Cancellation terms will be outlined at the time of booking. The deposit is generally non-refundable unless otherwise agreed.
3. Delivery, Collection, and Returns
-
Delivery and Collection: Free delivery is offered within a 5-mile radius of Evesham. The Company will hand-deliver the equipment to ensure it arrives on time and in perfect condition.
-
Collection Option: Customers can also choose to collect the equipment.
-
Check of Equipment: The Customer agrees to check and count all equipment (Headphones, Transmitters, Cables, Cases) upon delivery/collection and report any issues or discrepancies immediately. The box will include a "What's in the box" list and a "Packing up checklist".
-
Return Condition: All equipment must be returned in the same condition as received, allowing for fair wear and tear.
4. Customer Responsibility, Loss, and Damage
-
Responsibility for Equipment: The Customer is responsible for the equipment from the time of hand-delivery/collection until it is collected by or returned to The Company.
-
Loss or Damage: The Customer is liable for any loss or damage to the equipment, including headphones, transmitters, cables, and cases, during the hire period. The replacement or repair cost for lost or damaged equipment will be charged to the Customer.
-
Misuse: The equipment is to be used solely for its intended purpose (silent disco/audio transmission) and not to be modified or disassembled.
-
Security Deposit Deduction: Any costs for loss, damage, or significant cleaning beyond normal use will be deducted from the security deposit, and any remaining balance will be invoiced to the Customer.
5. Support and Liability
-
Ongoing Support: The Company offers ongoing support via phone or social media during the hire period.
-
Setup Guide: A physical set-up guide will be provided with the equipment.
-
Limitation of Liability: The Company’s liability is limited to the hire cost paid. The Company is not responsible for any personal injury, property damage, or consequential loss arising from the use or misuse of the equipment.
6. Privacy
-
The Company respects your privacy and will not share your personal information except as required to fulfil this contract or by law.
